Theatres, Art and Entertainment In a community more beautiful than Hollywood could ever conjure, the silver screen has found home. Oro Valley’s first-ever movie theatre, Century Theatres at Oro Valley Marketplace, will open in October to the delight of neighbors who have – until now – traveled into Tucson to catch a flick. Century Theatres at Oro Valley Marketplace will be joined by a $600,000 collection of public art, the largest contribution ever made to public art at a retail destination in Arizona. What does this mean for Oro Valley Beyond convenient shopping, dining, entertaining and movie going, Oro Valley Marketplace is expected to generate $65 million in new sales and property tax revenue over the first 20 years, revenue that will be critical to properly funding parks, schools, police, transportation and other community needs in Oro Valley.
